Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and AVR Investment Group Ltd, trading as Eddit.ai (“Eddit”, “we”, “us”). Registered in England and Wales, company number 17379977, at 4 The Boulevard, Crawley, RH10 1XX, United Kingdom. They apply to everyone who uses eddit.ai and the editing service (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept them.
The Service is for anyone aged 18 or over: professional videographers, editors and studios, and people editing their own films. Some parts of these terms apply differently depending on whether you use the Service for your business or as a consumer (for your own personal use). If you are a consumer, you have legal rights under UK consumer law, and nothing in these terms affects them.
2. What the Service does
You upload multi-camera footage of an event, or import it from Google Drive or Dropbox. The Service syncs the cameras, chooses shots, adds music where a section has none, and delivers an edited film (MP4) and an edit timeline (XML) that you can open in Adobe Premiere Pro.
The edits are produced automatically with the help of AI. They are a starting point for your own work. We do not promise that an edit will match your style, include every moment you would keep, or be free of errors. You are responsible for reviewing an edit before you deliver it to your client.
We may change, improve or withdraw features. During the beta period features may change without notice and the Service may be unavailable at times.
3. Your account
You sign in with your Google account or with a sign-in link we email to you. You must keep access to that Google account or email inbox secure and tell us at support@eddit.ai if you think someone else has used your Eddit account. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
You must give accurate details where we ask for them, for example for invoices.
4. Your footage and your edits
You keep all rights in the footage you upload and in the films and timelines we produce from it. We do not claim ownership of any of it.
You give us a limited licence to store, copy, analyse and process your footage only as needed to provide the Service to you. This licence ends when the footage is deleted. We do not use your footage to train AI models, and we do not show it to anyone else.
You confirm that you have the right to upload the footage and to have it edited. If you film for clients, you confirm that you have your client’s permission, and that you have told the people filmed what you need to tell them under data protection law.
5. Personal data in your footage
Wedding footage shows identifiable people: the couple, their families and guests, sometimes children. It can also show religious ceremonies, which can reveal religious beliefs. If you film for clients, you are the controller of this personal data and Eddit is your processor under the UK GDPR. If you edit your own family’s footage for personal use, data protection law treats you differently, but we handle the footage in exactly the same way. Either way we process it only to provide the Service and on your instructions as set out in these terms.
As your processor we:
- process the footage only to produce your edits, and not for any other purpose;
- make sure that our staff and contractors who can access it are bound by confidentiality;
- keep it secure: stored encrypted in Amazon Web Services in London (eu-west-2), with access limited to the systems that edit it;
- use the sub-processors listed in the Privacy Policy and tell you before we add a new one, so that you can object;
- delete raw footage 24 hours after the edit is delivered, and delete everything for a project when you delete it or close your account;
- help you answer requests from people in the footage, tell you without undue delay about a personal data breach that affects your footage, and give you the information you need to show compliance.
We send still frames from your footage to Google’s Gemini AI service to analyse what each camera shows. Google processes them for us as a sub-processor and does not use them to train its models. No other part of your footage leaves Amazon Web Services.
6. Music
The Service may add music to some sections of an edit from a library we choose. You are responsible for making sure you have the right licences for any music in the films you share or deliver to clients. You can replace the music in Premiere Pro using the XML timeline.
7. Plans, credits and payment
The Service is paid for with credits. You get credits from a monthly subscription plan, and you can buy extra credit packs (“boosters”) while you have an active subscription. Current plans, packs and prices are shown on your Account page. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
- Editing an event costs credits according to its type. A wedding day costs 250 credits; other events such as receptions and pre-wedding events cost 150 credits. We show the cost before an edit starts.
- An edit is charged once per project. Editing the same project again is free while its raw footage is still stored. Once the raw footage has been deleted, editing it again needs a new upload and is charged again.
- Your plan’s credits are added at each monthly renewal. Unused plan credits do not carry over to the next month.
- Booster credits do not expire. When you start an edit, plan credits are used first.
- If you change plan during a month, the new allowance starts at your next renewal.
- Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it. You can cancel, change your card or download invoices from your Account page. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for.
- If an edit fails because of a fault on our side and we cannot complete it, we return the credits it used.
- Apart from that, fees are not refundable, except for a consumer’s right to cancel below and their other rights under consumer law.
- Eddit is not currently registered for VAT, so the prices shown are the full amount you pay. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. A change applies from your next renewal after the notice period.
If a payment fails, editing pauses until it is resolved. We may suspend an account with unpaid fees.
Your right to cancel (consumers only). If you are a consumer, you can cancel a new subscription or booster within 14 days of buying it and get a full refund by emailing support@eddit.ai. When you buy, you can ask for editing to start straight away. If you do, and you then start an edit within those 14 days, you lose the right to cancel that purchase. Cancelling a subscription later, after the 14 days, stops it at the end of the month you have paid for, as above.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- upload footage you do not have the right to use, or that is unlawful;
- upload sexual content involving minors or any other illegal content; we will report it to the authorities;
- try to access other users’ projects or data, or test the security of the Service without our written permission;
- overload, reverse engineer or copy the Service, or use automated means to access it other than through the website;
- resell the Service or share your account with anyone else.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
9. Availability and support
We aim to keep the Service available and to fix problems quickly, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or error free. Editing a full wedding can take many hours, and processing times depend on demand. Support is available through the chat on the website and at support@eddit.ai.
Keep your original footage. We are not a backup service: raw footage is deleted 24 hours after delivery, and we are not responsible for loss of footage you have not kept yourself.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
If you are a consumer: we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen, or if we both knew it might happen when you accepted these terms. If the Service is not as described or not provided with reasonable care and skill, you can ask us to fix it or, if we cannot, to give you some or all of your money back. We are not responsible for business losses: if you use the Service for a business, the next paragraph applies.
If you use the Service for a business:
- we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss;
- we are not liable for the content of edits you deliver to your clients without reviewing them;
- our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You are responsible for claims against us arising from footage you uploaded without the right to do so.
11. Ending your account
You can close your account at any time by emailing support@eddit.ai. We delete your projects and personal data as set out in the Privacy Policy. Download any films and timelines you want to keep first.
We may close your account with 30 days’ notice, or immediately if you seriously break these terms. If we close it without cause, we refund the unused part of the current month.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will email you at least 30 days before an important change takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you use the Service for a business, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts there.
